    Your Appointment

    All You Need To Know

    How long will it last? For an adult, please allow 1.5 - 2 hours for your first consultation and 1 hour for a follow up. For a child, 1 hour for each appointment.

    What do you do? I ask you a lot of questions! This is to find out what makes you, you. What makes you different from everyone else although you maybe suffering a common ailment such as eczema, allergies, or PMT. I prescribe your remedies on your individuality. I could see another person with similar symptoms to you but you will have experienced very different lives and these differences are what make us unique.

    What are your fees? Adult 1st appointment £95, follow ups £70 and for children 1st appointment, £70 and follow ups £70. Acute appointments are charges at £20 for adults and £10 for children.

    For remedies between appointments for acute conditions a small charge is made. £3 for a bag (acute) £5 for a bottle (dropper or pills) and £2 postage if you are unable to collect. Reach out if you require low cost treamtent, I can recommend student clinics which are £30 a session + a small charge for remedies.

    Where do I come to see you? I have a consulting room in Ockham and I am also able to see you via FaceTime, Zoom or Skype. Remote appointments work well for those who aren't local, require childcare (time your appointment with your baby's/toddler's nap), if you have an difficulties with mobility or just feel more comfortable speaking from your home or office.

    Do I need to bring anything? If you are taking any medication please bring either the name of the drugs or the packets which contain them, recent blood test results if you have any concerns regarding them or any notes you have made regarding your current health.

    What do I do after the consultation? You will be given a remedy or remedies and thorough instructions on how to take them. I will also give you lifestyle advice, this maybe regarding diet, other therapies to use alongside homeopathy, research or reading. I like you to be as productive as possible between appointments in order for you to take control of your health. You will be amazed at how much better you can feel once you take responsibility for your health and well-being.

  • A Conversation With Jenny

    Who she is, what she does, how she does it and why she loves it.

    Jenny, what inspired you to study homeopathy? In the beginning it was pure fascination. I always enjoyed my personal homeopathic consultations and came away feeling empowered. The names of the remedies and their almost magical properties intrigued me too and at 29 I felt the time was right for me to find out more.I chose to study at The Lakeland College of Homeopathy which ran from The University of London in Regent's Park. The course was three years part-time. I attended lectures 10 weekends per year and 150 hours of clinical training over years 2 and 3. Now I lecture at two of the leading homeopathic colleges, teaching new homeopaths to learn the art.When you qualified, then it was time to set up in practice? Yes, I felt ready to go for it and really I have never looked back.

     

    Who do you see in the clinic? Everyone, my practice is diverse, people of all ages with different ailments and diseases come to me for homeopathic treatment. I see a lot of children, when a parent places their faith in me to help their child, I believe it to be a great honour.And when you're not at work....? I spend my time with our young son, mainly playing football!Do you treat your family with homeopathy? Yes and no. I will personally treat them for coughs, colds, tummy bugs - minor acutes - but once something is a little deeper we have a family homeopath and he is called in to help. For instance, our son has suffered night terrors, I went straight to our homeopath for that as I am too close to him to see the whole picture.

    Can you explain how homeopathy works? There are many facets to homeopathic medicine but the main goal is always to restore the vital force. This is a term used to describe the illusive energy we may know as our health. I liken it to learning to ride a bike, the consultations and remedies provide the stabilisers and a reassuring hand on your back until you have mastered that return to wellness when these aids fall away, leaving you stronger and more resilient.How do you advise your clients maintain that strength and resilience? I am a big believer in doing all you can for yourself. Most people know the areas of their lives that let them down. Maybe it's poor diet, working long hours, unhappiness in a relationship, if something is a constant by working to change for the better is all part of the process. Small changes are key to clearing the bigger picture. I will often recommend supplements, dietary changes, books to read, research to do... anything which I believe will empower the person in front of me.

    So, are you saying there is always something you can do to make things better? Absolutely! By casting fresh eyes over a clients lifestyle, you can see where changes can be made. These areas are often where people's challenges sit so it can be an emotional journey but like anything which takes courage and hard work it is always worth it.
